Scats on the Sly - music performance

They don't write 'em like that any more but Scats on The Sly definitely plays 'em! With a swinging sound reminiscent of Squirrel Nut Zippers, this copasetic quartet will take you on a jumpin' journey to a time when songs had charm and sophistication and political correctness had yet to make an appearance.

“What music! What fun!
Mallory and the band show love for the music of the past. Clap, hum, whistle, sing along.

The Show Show - Terry & His Friends - solo performance

What's a show show? Storytelling, magic, puppetry, music, improv, and more! It's so many different kinds of shows, it can only be...The Show Show! Terrance V. Mc Arthur packs 50 years of performing experience into each performance. Bring your inner child and prepare to get silly!

Storytelling isn't just for children, anymore! Terry and his Friends takes old

stories and makes them into something to keep you up at night. He makes up his

own stories while he's talking to you. His stories are more than just words; with

magic, music, balloons, and puppets, he's a 3-D story artist! If he wasn't my

brother, I'd adopt him!---.”

Acoustic Highway - music performance

Acoustic Highway: a high energy acoustic rock quartet of guitars, bass, and latin percussion wrapped in rich harmonic vocals playing both original and unique cover songs to thrill the ear and move the body. Playing in and around the Fresno/Clovis scene, the band, (Rick & Joanne Calhoun with Jim Rust) welcomes new bass player Mike Alexander (formerly of Chris plays guitar) to enrich their Gypsy blues meets Cowboy jazz sound into an exciting mix to bring the house down.

Jaguar Bennett in…

Bullet Point - solo performance

Larry Driscoll has problems. His company is under SEC investigation. His partner is selling him out. Death stalks his family. His wife won't sleep with him, and he suspects God feels the same way. But Larry can't think about distractions; he's making the most important PowerPoint presentation of his life.

“Jaguar Bennett gave a wonderful and convincing performance as the businessman coming to terms with the rough points in his life. . . . Anyone who has to deal with PowerPoint presentations and Excel charts on a regular basis will especially appreciate their very clever use in this show!”

The Undercurrent review from Rogue 2007

Rogue Year Round continues the excitement of live performance!

We are bringing back performers from the March event. This provides the opportunity for performers to further hone their craft and showcase their talent for bigger and better things. It is our hope that this will inspire not only the performers to strive for more but also plant the seed for the opening of more performance venues within the cultural spectrum that is Fresno.
