Art for your New Year!

Hello Everyone,
As the new year begins, I would like to extend thanks to the
Fresno Regional Foundation for inviting me to currently exhibit
14 of my works at their offices. I've included some of my chair
paintings, along with other favorites from recent years.
You can find information regarding the Fresno Regional Foundation
I would also like to thank Fresno Magazine once again for including
me in their December 2007 issue by doing an "artreview" of me.
Thirdly, I'd like to thank all of you ArtHoppers by inviting you to the
next exhibit at Ashtree Studios starting with the ArtHop Opening
Reception, Thursday, January 3rd, 5-9pm.
Featuring our 2007 Pet Show winner: Terrance McArthur.
Terrance displays his whimsical sculptures made from
recycled materials like wire, newspaper and pine needles.
You have to see it to believe it!
And as a special treat, Terrance will be performing storytelling
and doing some demonstrations of his work.
Bring all your friends and family!
And that's not all . . .
We'll also be showing selected works of Donnalee Dunne and
Aileen R. Imperatrice to round out the show.

"Trapped inTransition" Art Exhibition

The Art Show Continues!
Please join me on Thursday, September 6th, from 5-9pm for the Artist Reception at Ashtree Studios for my new art exhibit "Trapped inTransition".
Over the last few years, I've gone through a lot of life transitions and I felt it was time to put some of those experiences onto canvas. The way I've chosen to express these feelings are explored through new methods in my art creation.
This exhibit will run from August 2nd through September 29th.
Our regular hours are Th/Fri 1-6pm and Sat 10am-3pm.

I've been unbelievably busy these last few months and it hasn't just been in getting ready for my August exhibition. I also want to share with you other good news:
During the month of July and into the first week of August, I've been happy to have exhibited one of my "Self-Portraits" series paintings in Baltimore, Maryland at the Metro Gallery as part of their CLIQUE show. The artpiece is "In my fog" - you can see it on my website in the "Self-Portraits" section.
Secondly, I was accepted to exhibit 3 other paintings from this same series in Minneapolis, MN at the Altered Esthetics Gallery as part of The Art of Sacrifice show. The 3 that are going are "things are not well in this house", "Visiting Hours Do Not Apply" and "Torn" - all 3 you can also see on my website. They will be on display for the month of September.
Thirdly, I signed an agreement with the Fresno Art Museum to have 6 of my artworks and 2 prints for sale in their Gallery Shop. Please go visit and consider buying one of my pieces through them. It'll make me look good.

Also . . . I'm happy to be presenting a mini documentary about my life and art to you. This great little video was created by my good friend and arts internet marketing guru Marcel Nunis and features the music of Kien Lim.
You can view it on my website (where you can see other info about my work and Ashtree Studios) at www.ashtreestudios.com
or at www.youtube.com/aileenri
or on http://youtube.com/watch?v=839_fEfP2ww
or Marcel's page http://youtube.com/user/dathang

Thanks!
Aileen.

Since my last Post

My life has been in transition and it has kept me from posting what has been happening at Ashtree Studios as of late.
Ashtree is proud to be continuing its show and sale of the limited edition, signed prints of Enrique Lopez. He was a friend and I admired his work. Many have come by to see what remains. We hope that more will decide to purchase his prints and take his legacy home with you or to your office for others to enjoy as well.
I continue to offer my work for viewing and buying. I am currently working on a new series that will include some subjects from a previous series, but will be executed with a new treatment and will reflect my current state of mind. Ashtree Studios has also expanded in space with the opening of the side gallery 1033, where I will continue to have most of my artwork. This is the gallery space last occupied by Enrique and I'm hoping his spirit will encourage me to go forward and give us the good luck to sell more work.
In the main gallery 1035, Ashtree is happy to host an exhibit of work by Donnalee Dunne. She is a creator of interesting art with fabric, weaving and oil paintings. We have been friends for quite a while and she has helped curate some of the other shows at Ashtree Studios. We welcome her.
The Opening ArtHop Reception will be Thursday, June 7th 5-9pm with refreshments to enjoy. Please come on by and say hello to Donnalee and Aileen.
